He was born June 2, 1940 in Flora, IL to Leonard & Berniece (Persinger) Sharp.
He was a construction worker and attended Flora Assembly of God. Billy was a Yankee and Steeler fan and enjoyed cooking, hunting, and his family.
He is survived by his children: Billy Sharp of Sullivan, IN, Brenda Hewittt and Kevin Sharp both of Florida, and Allen Sharp of Springfield; 1 sister: Shirley Hoover of Flora; 4 brothers: Raymond "Ray" Sharp of Mattoon, Charles Vernon Sharp of Springfield, Leon Sharp of Louisville, and Brian Sharp of Flora; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers (Terrance Robert Sharp & Leonard Junior Sharp).
Funeral services were held at Flora Assembly of God with visitation at the church prior to service.
Burial was in Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, IL.
