Visitation and services will be in the Hosselton-Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro. Barry Sikes presiding. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery.
Mr. Staley was born Feb. 8, 1900, in Johnson County, the son of James and Maude (Downey) Staley. He married Alice Wilson Jan.5, 1949, in Henderson, Ky. and she survives.
He was a retired businessman in Clay City.
Other survivors include three sons, Jerry, Batavia; Robert, Clay City; Steve, Dwight; three daughters, Mrs. William (Mary) Killen, Terre Haute, Ind.; Mrs. Ed (Marjorie) Smith,
Braidwood; Mrs. Bill (Marilyn) White, Ingraham; a brother, Gay Staley, New Mexico; a step-son, Lewis Carter, Braidwood; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Garrett, Flora; 12 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother and a sister.
