Robert Guy Staley III, 31, of Clay City, IL died at 1:02 AM Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born June 14, 1978 in Olney, IL to Robert Guy & Deeann (Watkins) Staley. He married Tammy Ashbaugh on November 15, 2009 in Clay City.

He was a contract oil pumper, a member of POLC, and had recently been accepted into Flora Masonic Lodge #204. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley.

He is survived by his wife: Tammy Staley; parents: Robert Guy & Deeann Staley; paternal grandmother: Alice Gill; step-son: Bryce McWhorter; and step-sister: Malea Bryan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents (Gordon & Jewell Watkins), and paternal grandfather (Robert "Guy" Staley).

Funeral services were held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Harris officiating.

Burial followed in the Clay City Cemetery.

Frank & Bright Funeral Home was in charge.
