He was born in Richland county, Illinois, on October 21, 1924, and came to Valparaiso with his parents in 1937.
Young Stanley carried a paper route for the South Bend Tribune, and was popular among a large circle of friends.
Surviving are the parents, one brother, Russell, Jr., and three sisters, Dorothy, Naomi Lea and Juanita.
Memorial services were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the LePell Funeral Home on Monroe Street. The body will be taken to Clay City, Ill., for burial.
