Virginia Dietz Jones, 83, of Millersburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Majora Lane Care Center, Millersburg, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor Doug Wells officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Millersburg Church of Christ; or to Hospice of Wayne County.

She was born April 18, 1927, in Millersburg, the daughter of Harry Dietz and Marie Aling.

Virginia worked 31 1/2 years for Inn Maid Noodles, and was a member of Millersburg Church of Christ.

Surviving are children, Robert (Bobbi) Jones of Ashland, Sandra (Kasey) Schofield of Canton and Sharon (Terry) Tollefson of Fairview, Tenn.; grandchildren, Karen Tolbert and Matt Schofield of Canton, Rob (Regan) Jones and Jenifer (Don) Higgins of Columbus, Eric Tollefson and Wil Tollefson of Fairview, Tenn.; and great-grandchildren, Katie Tolbert of Canton and Ezra Jones of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, William Jones Jr.; her mother, Marie Aling; and her father, Harry Dietz. Virginia was raised by aunt and uncle, Irma and John P. Miller, who also preceded her in death.
