SHREVE -- Clarence B. Leadbetter, 85, Shreve, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 5, 2011, at Majora Lane Care Center, Millersburg.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg, with the Rev. Christopher Stewart officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Endowment Fund, 6900 State Route 754, Shreve, OH 44676.
He was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Rootstown, and he was the son of Dennis B. and Evora E. (Reidenbaugh) Leadbetter. On Aug. 14, 1950, he married Helen A. Maxwell; she preceded him in death.
Clarence was a farmer all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are two sons, James Leadbetter of North Lawrence, and Gary Leadbetter of Shreve; seven grandchildren, Greg Leadbetter, Kurt Leadbetter, Brittney Leadbetter, Kara Leadbetter, Jeff Leadbetter, Jenny Hershman and James Michael Leadbetter; one great-grandson, Seth Hershman; and a sister, Mabel Jefferies of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Leadbetter; and a sister, Margaret Crilow.
