WWI veteran and major league baseball player. Born in Catonsville, Maryland, he was an infielder and outfielder who made his debut with the St. Louis Browns on May 1, 1913. For four seasons, he played with the Browns (1913), the Detroit Tigers (1916) and the Chicago Cubs (1921-22). He finished his career with 67 runs scored, 141 hits, 50 RBI and a .282 batting average. He died at age 76 in Baltimore, Maryland.
