He was born July 10, 1952, to Thornton and Helen (Patterson) Mullet, and was a 1970 graduate of West Holmes High School. He proudly served his community as a police officer for Millersburg, Nashville, Killbuck and finally Baltic. He also worked many years for Buehler's Food Markets, providing security before his illness set in.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Betty (Yoder) Mullet; children Heather (Joseph) McNichols of Dover and Jonathan Mullet of the home; grandsons Marcus and Jarrod McNichols, both of Dover; his mother, Helen Mullet; and sisters Deanna Mullet and Sheree (Joseph) Oxley, both of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thornton Mullet.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
The family asks memorial donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County (Holmes County), 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691, as they truly were angels of mercy for Jerry and his family during his final weeks.
