He was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Billings, Mont., the son of Guy R. and Elsie (DeHass) Palmer. He was a flight engineer at North American for seven years and then worked 25 years for TWA.
Don was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Millersburg, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II. He was a proud American. He enjoyed traveling, reading, listening to music and spending time with his family.
Surviving are nephews and a niece, Tim (Karen) Fair of Millersburg, Tom (Elaine) Fair of Upper Sandusky, Terrie Fair of Alpine, Wyo., Hoy Cox of Dresden and John Cox of Millersburg; several great-nieces and nephews; a cousin, Phyllis (Mike) Neumann of Millersburg; and long-time friends and acquaintances, Bill Gordon of Redondo Beach, Calif., Ron Barnett of Costa Mesa, Calif., Bob DeHass of Lincoln, Neb., the Rev. Ted DeHass of Bedford, Iowa, Lynn Stenseth of Brazil, Larry Little of Las Vegas, Nev., John and Novell Anunson of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Polly (DeHass) Nilson of Lincoln, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepbrother, Wilbur Cox and a stepsister, Clara Fair.
