Major league baseball player 1910-1916. Pitcher with the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and the Cleveland Indians. Also pitched for the minor league teams the Brockton Shoemakers, Jersey City Skeeters, Montreal Royals, and Richmond Climbers.

Vaudeville performer in the off season. Known as "The Baseball Caruso" he helped form the popular Red Sox Quartette in 1910 and later performed with New York Giants outfielder Mike Donlin in "Donlin of the Giants and McHale of the Yankees."
