BURKE, MARY KATHLEEN 77 - of Pleasantville, departed this life on Friday, December 1, 2006 in the Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Born on June 7, 1929 in Burkettsville, Maryland, she was a longtime resident of Pleasantville. She was a domestic worker who took pride in doing her job well. Mother Burke will best be remembered as a God-fearing missionary of the Morning Star Holiness Church of Egg Harbor Township. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Alfred C. Butler and Pauline (nee Lucas) Butler, a brother Elder Alfred A. Butler, a sister Charolette Butler, and her husband George Burke. She is survived by her brother Charles Butler of Brooklyn, New York and a sister, Mother Evelyn V. Johnson - widow of Bishop Leno Johnson of Pleasantville, as well as a host of relatives, church family and friends to cherish her memory. A Home Going Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at the Morning Star Holiness Church, 2816 Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township, where a viewing will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the church. Interment will then follow in the Greenwood Cemetery on West Washington Ave. in Pleasantville.
