Frank Curtis, 87, Dies Here Saturday -
Funeral services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic church in St. Paul Tuesday for Frank Curtis, 87. Mr. Curtis died Saturday at Coolidge Rest Home, where he had lived the past five years.
He was born in Chicago on August 22, 1878 to Michael and Mary Curtis. He moved with his parents to a farm near Farwell when he was a small child; and grew to manhood in the Farwell, Papillion and Ashton areas.
On November 28, 1889 he married Julie Mendyk at Papillion. They farmed near Farwell and Elba until 1939 when they moved to St. Paul.
Survivors include five daughters, 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, 3 sons and a daughter.
