STREATOR- Edith M. Burash 85 of Streator died Friday evening (May 9, 2014) at Heritage Health, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator with Monsignor Philip Halfacre, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday with a prayer service at 4:00 PM at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
Mrs. Burash was born Oct. 7, 1928 in Fairfield, the daughter of Walter and Ellen (Robertson) Fritts. She married John Burash, Jan. 22, 1947 at St. Stephen's Church, Streator. He preceded her in death Feb. 21, 2014.
Edith was a homemaker. She was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church and currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. She attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.
She is survived by one daughter, Dianna D'Abrosca, Coventry RI, two sons, Bob (Sandra) Burash, Severn MD and Larry Burash, Streator, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four sisters, Rene Belle McCormick, Fairfield, Josephine Thiessen, Gridley, Goldie Chalfant, Santa Barbara CA and Karla (Vince Sr.) Venturi, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, Paul Burash, two brothers David and Dean Fritts.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
