Velma Simmons Allen, 94, a former Yakima area resident, died 12 July in an Everett nursing home.
She was born 12 January 1892 in Victor Missouri and moved to Yakima from Ventura, CA in 1932. She lived in Yakima until moving to Everett in 1974 to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Allen was a retired floorlady for Del Monte Canning Col, working there until 1958.
Her mother was also born in Missouri.
She was a member of the Memorial Bible Church in Gleed.
Survivors include a daughter, Velma K Thue of Everett; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren.
