Davis-Hanson—
Miss Lenore Davis and Clark Hanson surprised their friends Wednesday by announcing their marriage. They left Wednesday for Akron, Ohio, where Mr. Hanson will work for the Goodrich Rubber Co. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hanson. He is an industrious farmer. The bride is a pretty girl, gifted with a beautiful voice. She has been an efficient clerk at the Bierer Shadel Merc. Co. the past winter.

    Allen — Mrs. Lenore Allen, 53, died Saturday morning in Yakima Valley Memorial hospital. Born in Hiawatha, Kan., she had lived in Yakima 33 years. She made her home at 3912 Mavis Ave. Formerly she lived in Naches Heights. She and her husband, the late Halley Allen, ranched in Naches Heights and after his death she continued operating the ranch. Three years ago she moved to Yakima. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Walker, Cowiche, and Miss Paula Allen, Yakima; two sons, Robert L. Allen, Yakima, and David R. Allen, U.S. Marines; four sisters, Mrs. Bert Chaffee, Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. Edward Brown, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Wes Catuska, Pomona, Kan.; and Mrs. Bernard Anderson, Yakima; three brothers, Ross Davis, Long Beach, Calif.; Stanley Davis, Kansas City, Mo., and Ben Davis, Death Valley, Calif., and six grandchildren.
