He was born April 27, 1907, to John and Mollie (Phillips) Allen, in Stuart, Oklahoma where he was reared. In his younger years, he had been a mine worker. He lived in the Los Angeles area for a number of years before moving to Yakima.
Elder Allen had been pastor of several churches in the Yakima Valley.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Allen, of Yakima; a brother, Jeff Montgomery of Yakima; two sisters, Stella Bowman and Clara Farr, both of Yakima; several step-children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Shaw & Sons Chapel. The service will conclude in the chapel. Burial will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
