He was born 28 July 1895 in County Wicklow, Ireland. He emigrated to Canada as a young man & later lived in the Yakima area for over 20 years. He moved to Whidbey Island, where he lived at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife Lennie of Freeland, one daughter, Louise Le May of Cliffdell, one son Donald Hunter Allen of Greenback, one sister Nora Kent of Vancouver, B. C., 7 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren. His first wife, Ellen, preceded him in death.
