Felicia Taylor Rushing, age 75, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 13, 2013, in a local hospital, surrounded by family.
Felicia was born October 28, 1937, in Smithland, Texas, to M. D. and Albina Mazac Taylor. She was a registered nurse for over forty years; serving thirty of those years at the Linden Municipal Hospital. She was a member of Lifehouse Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Sam Rushing of Atlanta, Texas; three sons, Stephen Rushing and wife Cindy of Texarkana, Texas, Andy Rushing of Atlanta, Texas, Perry Rushing and wife Karen of Atlanta, Texas; one brother, Donald Taylor of Jefferson, Texas, two sisters, Mary Ansley of Jefferson, Texas, Dixie Calvin of Bristow, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 6 pm to 8 pm, at Hanner Funeral Service, Atlanta, Texas.
Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Smithland,Texas.
