JEFFERSON - Services for Edna Burns Tatum, 54, of Jefferson will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at Judea Baptist Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Leo McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Judea Cemetery under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home. Mrs. Tatum died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Linden. She was born Oct. 23, 1951, in Jefferson to Earkin Burns and Mary Louise Webb Burns. She worked as a nurse and was a member of Judea Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Samuel Tatum Sr.; three sons, Timothy Tatum of Bryan, Samuel C. Tatum Jr. of Jefferson and Le'Keith Tatum of Jefferson; one goddaughter, Kelsy L. Butler of Jefferson; seven brothers, Chester Burns of Jefferson, Ivory Burns of Jefferson, Willie Burns of Bryan, Eddie Burns of Jefferson, Nick Burns of Greenville, Raymond Burns of Bryan and Thomas Burns of Longview; four sisters, Annie Chambers of Jefferson, Lynda Jefferson of College Station, Cletta Walker of Jefferson and Loretta Washington of Jefferson; other relatives and friends.
