Great Grandmother of Daniel James Sarafa, Andrew William Sarafa, Ryan Christopher Worthen, Jillyn Annette Worthen, Bruce David (Trey) Worthen III, Cole Matthew Liebentritt, Blake Tracy Liebentritt, Drew Aaron Liebentritt, Marina Sara Lackey, and Ambrielle Renee Lackey. Dear sister of Betty Dorsett Hoover of Live Oak Fla., Phyllis Dorsett Westerfield of Bedford, and Kenneth Wayne (Francie) Dorsett of Indianapolis; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mary Frances was born on Jan. 19, 1924, in Bedford, and she was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Dorsett and Dora Clampitt Dorsett of Bedford, and her sister, Virginia Dorsett Fish of Bedford.
She attended Bedford High School and worked for Central Foundry, RCA, Greystone Hotel, Arthur Murray Dance Studio and was self employed for Mary Frances Little Ballroom Dance Studio in Bedford.
She and her late husband, Thomas, resided in Bonita Springs, Fla., for 27 years but continued to spend their summers in Bedford. Mary was a member of the First Christian Church of Bedford. Mary and her friends and family will always remember her love of dancing, music, dominos, card playing, good fun and her profound sense of loving people as well as her hometown of Bedford.
An 11 a.m. memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 14 at Day & Carter Mortuary, 1133 Lincoln Avenue (12th Street), Bedford.
A burial service will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
