Harold F. Albright Sr., 81, of Peshtigo, Wis., died at home Wednesday, May 6, 2020. He was born Feb. 26, 1939, on Albrecht Family Homestead in the Town of Grover to the late Edward F. (Jr.) and Eleanor (Trapanier) Albright.

Harold started out at the one room Feifrick School and later graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1957, from 1962-1964 he served in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., as a truck driver in the Armored Transportation Armory Division.

On May 1, 1965, he married the former Bonnie Huempfner at St. Augustine's Church in Wausaukee, Wis.
They lived in the Peshtigo area their entire married lives.
Harold drove semi-truck for over 40 years. He started driving when he was 16 for his father's cattle business E.F. Albright and Sons, Marinette Marine, Pre-Fab, Skinner Transfer and retired his driving career from Sentinel Structures Inc. in Peshtigo.
He kept a photo scrapbook of many of the over-length and over-sized loads that he hauled while working for them. Many of which he would talk about how he had to back in for miles with the semi-tractor and trailer.

In his youth he spent many hours surrounded by horses. He rode saddle bronc in the rodeo, he also dabbled a little with bareback bronc riding and pick-up for team roping. He was good at trick riding and trained many horses throughout his life. He taught his children and several grandchildren to ride, passing on so much of his love and knowledge for the animal. In his retired years, he enjoyed fishing with his friends and grandchildren. He loved woodworking, making birdhouses, bird feeders, and helping anyone that had a building project.

Harold is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnie;
four children: Harold Jr. (Sherry), Peshtigo, WI; William (Shari), Porterfield, WI; Robert (Peyton) of Colorado and Becky (Michael) Hipke, Peshtigo, WI;
11 grandchildren: Rachel (Michael) Baker, Aaron Albright, Katelyn (Raymond) Kruska, Samantha (Joe Weed) Albright, Brandon Albright, Cole (Brandi) Albright, Tasha Albright, Beth (Aaron) Dzurick, Kylie (Kevin) Newbury, Jada (Jack Versland) Hipke and Walker Hipke;
five great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Lincoln, Lillian, Aubrey and Seth;
two sisters: Kaye (Jerry) Hughes and Linda (Fred) Miron;
and one brother James (Mary) Albright.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Edward J. (III), and John Albright, and half brother H. Kenneth Kuehn.

Due to current Covid restrictions a memorial will be announced and held at a later date. Burial will be in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Peshtigo.
