Edward T. Eddie Blesedell of Avon, formerly of Hull, passed away March 13, 2011, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Lorraine A. (Pentz) Blesedell, he was the loving father of Edward F. Blesedell of Worcester and the late Barry F. and George R. Blesedell; son of the late Cecil and Claire Blesedell; devoted brother of Frederick Blesedell and his wife Ann of Hull; dear Papa to Edward T. Blesedell of Tyngsboro and Cody Blesedell of Hingham. Also survived by his great-grandson, William E. Blesedell of Tyngsboro; and six nieces and four nephews. He was born in Boston, had lived in Hull for many years before moving to Avon 35 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Div. during the Korean War. He was a former member of the Hull VFW Post, the Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club and was a former Scout leader in Hull. He was a retired auto repair technician who had worked at Happy Bear Auto Sales and Service, of Brockton, for many years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Avon. Burial will be private. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association , 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
