Donald D. Desrosier of Whitman, formerly of Avon, age 74, died April 14. He was born, raised and educated in South Boston, and had lived in Avon for 40 years before moving to Whitman. He had been a machinist for many years and was the owner of Knowland Machine Shop. Don enjoyed fishing, playing cards, traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of Marie E. (Keough) Desrosier of Whitman, to whom he had been married 52 years, he was the father of Donald A. Desrosier and his wife Winnifred of Norton, Marie P. Wahl of Raynham, Patricia A. Hinkley and her husband Peter of Whitman, Robert V. Desrosier and his wife Jennifer of Bridgewater and Dianne Low and her husband Peter of Toronto; brother of the late Edward Desrosier and his late wife Chickie. Also survived by 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 South Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, Monday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michaels Church, Avon, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment St. Michaels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donalds memory may be made to Pilgrim Area Collaborative in Support of Autism, P.O. Box 1098, Pembroke, MA 02359.
