Michael E. Donovan Sr., 55, of Brockton for the past 25 years, died April 15, 2011. A native of South Boston, he was a member of Laborers Union Local 22 and worked for Berry Construction of Danvers for 23 years. Michael was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Donovan, beloved husband of Pat (Rosa) Donovan, loving father of Michael E. Donovan Jr. and Sean Donovan, all of Brockton; dear brother of Joseph Donovan of Charlestown, Jack Donovan of Weymouth, Danny Donovan of South Boston, Martin Donovan of South Boston, Shamus Donovan of Abington, Mary Donovan of Weymouth, Colleen Weatherby of Whitman, Ellen Wright of California and the late Arthur and Kevin Donovan and an uncle, cousin and nephew of many. All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday 4 - 8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Wednesday at 8 a.m., funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Parish and burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Avon.
