Robert Power was the third Chief of Police for the province of Manitoba, Canada. He'd been chief for six years when, on the night of July 22, 1880, a prisoner (who he was transporting back to jail after an escape attempt) upset the boat on which they were to cross the Red River, and both men drowned. The proper location of his grave, though known to be at St. Charles, has been lost, according to researchers.
