Serial murder victim. Fourteen-year-old Lola Cowan was one of the final victims of Earle Nelson, a Bible-carrying drifter and prolific serial killer who usually targeted landladies, and who was captured after killing Cowan and Mrs. Emily Patterson. Cowan is buried beside Patterson.
