He spent his earlier years in Florence, Alabama and often reminisced about his wonderful childhood memories. Paul graduated from Bradshaw High School in 1976, and attended the University of North Alabama. Paul was proud to serve his country and retired from the United States Navy. After retiring from the military, he worked for Mercury Air at Peachtree DeKalb Airport.
Paul was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who loved from the bottom of his heart. He is best remembered for his giving spirit and putting others before himself, his gift of talk, homemade vanilla ice-cream, contagious laugh, and his love for God. During his tenure at Burns United Methodist Church, Paul formerly served as Lay Speaker and the President of the United Methodist Men.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Bailey; aunt Callie Davis; cousins, Brenda Jackson, Brittany Davis, and Brittin Thomas.
Paul is survived by his wife Allie Bailey of Newnan, Georgia; four children: Crishanda Bailey of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Paul Bailey Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Rayven Bailey of Acworth, Georgia; and Jacinda Bailey of Newnan, Georgia; his father: Paul T. Bailey of Chicago, Illinois; his siblings: James (Janet) Bailey of Seattle, Washington and Pam Bailey of Georgia; five grandchildren of Virginia Beach, Virginia: Keyshanna Dalton, Naiya Bailey, Aaliyah Dalton, Gabrielle Bailey and Samaiya Bailey; his step-children: Theresa Henry of Acworth, Georgia; Sanah Hassan of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and Casey Hassan of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his nieces: Candice Graham of Columbia, South Carolina and Celina Berry of Dallas, Texas and host of cousins and extended family.
