Mrs. Mildred A. McCants of 820 College Ave., wife of Herschel McCants, died Tuesday in Denver after an illness of about four months. She was 54.

She is survived by her husband, to whom she was married Jan. 25, 1936 in Seminole, Okla.

She was born Feb. 18, 1914 in McPherson, Kan., daughter of John F. Davis and Edith B. Vandruff Davis. She moved to Canon City in July 1966 from Colorado Springs, coming there in 1936 from Wyoming.

Mrs. McCants was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include two children, Kenneth McCants and Mrs. Patricia Young, both of Denver; and four grandchildren.

A sister, Helen Gaede of Geneseo, Kan., and two brothers, Cecil Davis of Hutchinson, Kan., and Alvin Davis of Inman, Kan., also survive.
