United States World War I Soldier. He served during World War I as a Private in the Medical Detachment of the 319th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, AEF. He was killed in action on October 10, 1918, and his remains were never identified on the battlefield.

His name is inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne, France.

A cenotaph was erected for him on the family monument in Section U, Lot 268 in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
