World War I United States Army Officer. Served as Major of the 406th Telegraph Battalion, AEF, a unit of the United States Army Signal Corps that was made up of employees of Pennsylvania Bell Telephone Company. Major Glaspey was killed in France only days before the November 11, 1918 armistice that ended the fighting of World War I.

He lies buried in Plot C, Row 11, Grave 19 of the St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.

A cenotaph exists for Major Glaspey in his family's plot in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton, New Jersey.

American Battle Monuments Commission records misspell his last name as "Glapsey".
