Myra Denise Booth departed her earthly life and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on July 2, 1968, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to Lewis Harris and the late Geraldine Booth. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son, Aziz Booth; and a sister, Sharee Lee Smith.

Myra was committed to her church and community. She was a key volunteer for the First Baptist Church Food Pantry also an active member in the transportation ministry and in bringing and inviting others to church. She loved people and helping them through witnessing the salvation and goodness of the Lord and by giving of herself. She was an enthusiastic and willing worker, and always available to give a helping hand. She was a devoted mother, loving sister and a beloved daughter.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Ayahna Lewis; a son, Ahmaad Booth; her father, Lewis Harris; one brother, Gregory Booth; two sisters, Claudia Watkins and Lois Booth; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 16, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 632 West Main Street, with Pastor Hodari Hamilton officiating. Interment followed at Riverview Cemetery.
