He was born on November 23, 1923, in Schuyler, Virginia, to the late Joseph F. and Mamie W. Boling.
He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Herman Key Jr.; four brothers, John, Haywood, Blaine, and Joe Boling; and four sisters, Hatie, Toni, Carrie, and Mary Jane.
Deacon Boling was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church where he served faithfully for years as Sunday School teacher, choir member and Chairman of the Deacon board. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Philippians.
Frank worked alongside his father as a carpenter and he built several homes in Esmont and the old Porters Superette to include his home and his oldest son's home. He was employed by Nydrie Farm for over 40 years where he retired.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Anna Marie Bruce Boling; two sons, Frank W. Boling Jr. and the Reverend Bruce J. Boling; two daughters, Felice Boling-Key and Althea Boling; one sister, Ms. Mamie T. Cone; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services were held Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the New Green Mountain Baptist Church, 6751 Porters Road, Esmont, Virginia, with the Reverend Kort Green officiating and the Reverend Bruce J. Boling delivered the Eulogy.
