Clinton Joseph Cannon died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Newton Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient there since suffering injuries when struck by a car at the corner of Fourteenth and Main on Oct. 20, l958. Mr. Cannon was born Feb. 10, 1875, in (Cherokee) Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ephriam Cannon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morris memorial Chapel, with burial in Tisdale Cemetery.
He came to this vicinity about 40 years ago and farmed in the Tisdale community until moving to Winfield two years ago.
Survivors include 4 sons, Leland E., of Territon, Idaho; Forrest J. of Naches, Wash., Theodore F. of New Rockford, North Dakota; and Rolland W. of Havre, Montana; 23 grandchildren; and 1 sister, Mrs. L. E. Barnes of Mesa, Arizona.
