Clifford Antone was the founder of the Austin club Antone's. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, his club hosted artists Fats Domino, Bobby Blue Bland, B.B. King and others. Antone's Home of the Blues also supported local artists Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. His musical talents were documented in "Antone's Home of the Blues." He worked with social and educational organizations and created the "Help Clifford Help Kids" fundraiser for American Youthworks school, as well as teaching music at the University of Texas in Austin and at Texas State University in San Marcos. In 2009 he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and was recognized by the Texas House when it passed HR # 1986. He struggled with drug issues and legal challenges related to those issues.
