Our Nation is in Mourning...A Veteran Died Today...

Avery "Lee" Horn, 75 of Logansport, IN, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006 in his residence. Lee was born November 21,1931, in Logansport, he was the son of Burson L. and Mary E. Gates Horn. On May 4, 1952, in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, he was married to Margaret Hamon, who preceded in death Feb. 16, 1994. He was married April 20, 2002, in Cass County, to Shirley Ann Ross Bolechala, who survives. Lee was a retired farmer. Many younger farmers looked up to him for advice. He was a very generous person and would help anyone with anything without being aked and expected nothing in return. He was a devoted husband, father, friend and neighbor. He will be greatly missed.
He was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and several organizations. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army. Also surviving are four daughters, Kay (Randy) Gundrum of Macy, IN, Cathy Townsend (Mark) of Rochester, IN, Shirley L.Horn of Fulton, IN, and Carol (Jeff) Burton of Loganspor t, IN; 2 Step-sons, Bruce (Suzanne) W. Bennett , and Brian K. (Mary) Bennett of Logansport, IN; 2 Step-daughters, Brenda Roe of Evington, VA, and Jackie L. Bolechala of Greenwood, IN; Eight grandchildren, Christine Burton (Jim), LaPorte City, Iowa, Uriah Horn, Twelve Mile, IN. Josh (Kristi)Enyart Peru, IN.; Jeremy (Donna) Enyart and Joel Horn, Fulton, IN.; Toni Swartzel, Chasey and Dylan Burton of Logansport, IN. Five Step-grandchildren, Kian (Jason) Jennings, Derek Roe all of Lynchburg, VA., Zachary, Wesley a nd Wilson Bennett of Logansport, IN. Seven great-grandchildren. Vincent, Isaiah, Seth, Gage, Grayce, Monica and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his First wife Margaret Hamon Horn, a son Tom Horn, and a twin sister Eleanor Swartzel King.


Funeral Information
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be with full
Military Rites held at the Metea Cemetery, Metea at 10:00 a.m., Thursday June 1, 2006 with the Rev. Jay Cline officiating.
