On TV, he appeared on shows including "Star Trek," "Kung Fu," "The Rockford Files," "Kojak," "Little House on the Prairie," "Fantasy Island," as well as recurring roles on "Mannix" and "Gunsmoke." He also played football for UCLA, then professionally in Canada for the Calgary Stampeders, Montreal Alouettes and the BC Lions. He died of cancer.
