Mrs. Parker was a waitress at Washington National Airport and was a writer and columnist for various publications, especially in the New Hampshire area, including Old Time Crochet Patterns and Designs, a periodical.

She enjoyed writing poetry and crocheting and had received a publication award for poetry from the Browning Society of Poetry.

Born Feb. 26, 1924, at South River, N.J., a daughter of Pelegrino and Alesandra Rose Bove Rossi, she graduated from South River High School in 1941 and attended Fagan Dramatic Arts Academy, New York City.

She married August J. Parker on Nov. 15, 1949, in Maryland. Mr. Parker was a civilian machinist for naval shipyards for 39 years. They moved to Gouverneur in 1987.
