Mr. Leander Baxter of Gas City died at the family residence this morning at ten o'clock. Mr. Baxter was an old soldier about seventy-two years of age. HIs death followed and illness of two months. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Humboldt at the Humboldt Seventh Day Adventist Church.

L.F. Baxter, 73 years old, died yesterday at 10 a.m. of kidney trouble. The funeral procession left this morning and went to Humboldt and funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:30 at the Adventist Church. Mr. Baxter was an old government scout on the plains. Mrs. Baxter has also been quite ill and was reported no better yesterday.
