Mrs. Denton of Holly Ridge, North Carolina was born the daughter of Douglas Earl and Barbara Joan Elam Allen. Bev was the "anchor" of her family and taught them well. Now they will honor her by using the "anchor" to keep them "grounded" as a family. She always thought of others before herself. Her unselfishness was her virtue. Her personality was magnetic and gained her many friends. She will be missed by many. Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Mike Denton; children, Mary Ann Wrench, Valerie Dally, and Douglas Dally and wife Evita; a brother, Jimmy Pierce and wife Donna; sisters, Gloria Battista and husband Jim, Barbara Reynolds and husband John Petty, Brenda Allen, Linda Allen and partner Billie Womack; and a grandson, Jason Dally. Beverly passed away surrounded by her loving family at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
