Ellen was born the daughter of the late Wayland Batson and Flora Justice Batson and was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Batson and Buddy Batson. She was a life-long member of the Barlow-Vista Baptist Church. Ellen was a unique lady and quite a prankster. She loved "The Sound", fishing and oystering. Ellen loved to laugh; she was a great cook; loved her family and friends and was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She died at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
