I knew Norman as a teenager in East Oakland in a small neighborhood called jingletown,He was always a leader and when he left for the service we all knew he was very proud to be serving. He returned on leave once, but his heart was not here, he had to return it was his duty. We all where sadden by the news of his death,he was one of us, all of us being so young.We didn't get to say Thank You Norman,but its never to late Thank You..God Bless You! its been 40something yrs and never forgot...Peace be with you

Note: Edwin Charles Adkisson is the half brother of Norman Renfro. They had different mothers and the same father. Edwin Charles carried the last name of Baxter Kyle Adkisson Jr. throughout his short life span here on earth. When Norman was killed in Vietnam, Edwin Charles was also stationed in Vietnam and was sent home as he was the last of the Renfro male sons of Orval Renfro to survive.
