"Calvin C. Shoup, Native of Berlin, Claimed by Death --- Calvin C. Shoup, well-known retired Millersburg tinner, died in Mercy hospital, Canton, at 4 p.m. Saturday, following a week's illness from angina pectoris. He was 87.
"Mr. Shoup was born in Berlin Oct. 1, 1852. He was united in marriage to Lura Hull of Millersburg, who survives.
"Also surviving are a son, Edward, Long Beach, Cal.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a half-sister, Jennie Girard, Cincinnati. A son, Charles, preceded him in death Nov. 23, 1939.
"Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hunter financial home, Millersburg. Burial will be in the Millersburg cemetery. The body was removed to Millersburg Saturday evening."
