Mrs. Irene Susan Taneyhill, 87, widow of Richard Taneyhill, former resident of 290 West Myrtle Ave., died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Shamel Nursing Home, where she had been a resident the last five years. She had been ailing since Dec 1855, when she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born Oct. 21, 1875 at Millersburg, she was the daughter of Elijah & Susan (Uhler) Duer. Surviving are a son, Richard D Taneyhill of Newark; a granddaughter; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Korns of Millersburg. Her husband preceded her in death in 1947. A brother and three sisters are deceased.
Mrs. Taneyhill was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist.
