Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Faith Lutheran Church, Millersburg, with Rev. Daniel Grimminger officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 187 S. Clay St., Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
He was born on June 27, 1924 in Topeka, Kan., and was the son of Jerry and Elizabeth (Korns) Uhl Sr. On Oct. 27, 1946 he married Lavonne Strock and she survives.
He was a lifetime farmer. In 1958 he received the Farmer of the Year award by the Cleveland Farmers Club. Jerry was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he was both a member of the choir and served on the church council. He was a member of the Holmes County Farm Bureau, Grange, Holmes Soil and Water Conservation Board and the PCA Board. Jerry served on the Holmes County Fair Board for more than 30 years and was a past member of the Millersburg Lion's Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Lavonne are two sons and their spouses; Floyd (Rose) Uhl and Gary (Lois) Uhl, both of Millersburg; three granddaughters, Nichole (Ro) Hernandez, Kara (JB) Barton and Trisha Uhl, all of Millersburg; and two great grandchildren, Jayce Barton and Madison Hernandez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his three brothers, Perry, Painter and Robert Uhl.
