Alta C Miller, of Sugarcreek, died Nov 29, 2011 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was born Jun 18, 1938 in Holmes County to the late Crist and Mary (Miller) Slabach. Alta has been the owner and operator of the Charm General Store for over 16 years, was a charter member of the Valley View Community Church in Sugarcreek where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years and has contributed to her church in many other ways. She was married Aug 30, 1958 to Wade E Miller who died Oct 30, 1991. She is survived by her 3 children Brian (Lori) Miller and Karen (Jerry) Miller both of Sugarcreek, and Conrad (Denise) Miller of Millersburg, her 6 grandchildren Darren, Rachelle, Shannon, Jessica, Tyler, Sierra, 1 step granddaughter Marsha Scott, 2 step great grandchildren Billy and Brooke Herron, and her 4 sisters Ann Hostetler of Evansville, TN, Edna Ressler of Kidron, Sue Mullet of Berlin, and Mary Schrock of Peoria, AZ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers Melvin Slabach, Albert Slabach, and Monroe Slabach.
