He was a well know law enforcement official in the Wayne County area. Born in Millersburg, the son of Edward Clara Styre Carillon, and was a former owner of a Gulf Service Station on Lincolnway West. He then served eight years with the Wooster Police department and was deputy sheriff with the Wayne Co. Sheriffs Department for 20 years before retirement. He was member of the First Church of God, Ebenezer Lodge 33 F&AM, and was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was married March 8,1926 to Maude Steele.
