C. W. "Bill" Allison, 82 of Millersburg, died on Thursday, March 16, 2000, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 12, 1918, in Akron to Harry Glen and Erma (Hanna) Allison and married Lois L. Uhl on Oct. 22, 1938. She survives. He attended Ohio State University and worked 27 years for Logsdon Hatchery and 15 years in the grocery business for Barnhart's Market and Kroger's. He was a member of Welcome Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking and building doll houses. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Nancy and husband, Harold Ackert of California City, Calif.; grandchildren and their spouses, September ad Andre' DeWilde and Tracy and Debbie Ackert, all of California City, Calif., Terri and David Wheatley of Wright City, Mo., Timothy Allison of Lincoln, Neb, and Thomas Allison of Bellevue, Neb.; great - grandchildren, Nichole DeWilde, Brandi and Amber Gunderson, Rachael and Katie Wheatley; step - great - grandchildren, Nikoa, Kaei and Mihkay Cliett and a brother, Harold Allison of Millersburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Joel Lee Allison, his parents and a brother, Harold Allison. Graveside services were held on Monday, March 20, at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas White officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holmes County Hospice, 931 Wooster Road, Millersburg, Ohio, 44654. Arrangements were handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
