GLENN EDWARD WAITES was the son of Melvin Waites and Mrs. Ruth Waites.

Obituary
"Funeral services for Glenn Edward Waites, 16, of Jefferson, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mission Chapel Baptist Church here with the Rev. B.L. Turman officiating. Burial followed in Gethsemane Cemetery, in Jefferson, under direction of Atlanta Funeral Home. Mr. Waites drowned last Sunday in Cypress River. Survivors include his parents, Melvin and Ruth Waites, of Jefferson; four sisters, Mrs. Jacqueline Vinson, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Gloria Vinson, of Junction City, Kansas, Mrs. Evelyn Watson, of Vivian, Louisiana, and Vickie Waites, of Jefferson; one brother, Melvin Ray Waites, of Jefferson; his grandparents, Arthur and Mae Lou Waites, of Jefferson; and his great-great-grandmother, Alberta Guinn, of Jefferson."
