BAKER, Charles R.
PLAINS – Charles R. Baker, 73, of Plains died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 1996.
Visitation and services were Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints in Plains. Graveside services followed in the
Plains Cemetery.
Charles was born June 8, 1923 near Sandpoint, Idaho, on the family
homestead at Colburn to LeRoy Baker and Amy Nettlingham Baker. He was
a self-employed logger most of his life. He was a veteran of World
War II, having enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after graduating from
Sandpoint High School in 1942.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Donna, of Plains; five sons,
Gary Baker, Missoula; Wayne and David Baker, Libby; Keith Baker,
Plains, and Russell Baker, Arlee; two daughters, Cheryl Zacharias,
Orem, Utah, and Sandy Thompson, Plains; two sisters, Alice Dukart,
Priest Lake, Idaho and Linda Roshalt, Sandpoint, Idaho; and 29
grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Coffelt-Bunch Funeral Service of Plains.
