Sara Falco Corpora, 90, of Hearne, Texas, passed into Eternity peacefully in Austin on the evening of September 6, 2014.


She was born in Highbank, Texas on October 10, 1923 to the late J. T. and Vincent Tusa Falco.


Sara graduated from Reagan High School in Reagan, Texas.


Sara moved to the Brazos River bottom as a newlywed in 1947 to begin her life with her life-long love, the late Joseph S. Corpora. Together they raised a family and prospered.


She was a vibrant character who embraced life with a passion, and was always smiling.


Sara loved being a homemaker, mother and partner with Joe.


he was dedicated to her family and served as their greatest advocate.


She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and she will be remembered for her generosity and willingness to care for others.


Sara is survived by four children: Sam Corpora and wife Debra, of Hearne; Audette Foyt and husband Thomas, of Taylor; Joseph (Jodie) Corpora, of Austin; and Priscilla Maltabes and husband John, of Austin. She is survived by three grandchildren: Matthew S. Corpora, Cara E. Corpora, and Joseph T. Foyt.


The visitation and rosary was held at Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne on Tuesday, September 9. The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hearne at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10.


The family requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimer Association.


Rest in peace, Sara, until we meet again.
